So yesterday was Christmas and as we think about Christmas what are the first things to pop into our heads? Presents? The birth of the only person who can save us? Santa Clause? Watching Christmas movies with our families? Eating way to much turkey and pie? Or what about spending time with our families? All these ok well most of them are good to do, but the one we should be focusing on is the birth of the only person who saves us. My youth pastor has been quoting this a few times and I thought it appropriate tonight: "enjoy God's presence, not just presents." When you think about it what does that mean? It means the first thing on a lot of peoples minds the moment they wake up Christmas morning is "presents" Not "Yay! I have an amazing reason to celebrate Christmas." Think about that as you look through yesterdays presents. :) I know I will be

I can't tell you how many times people have sworn at me or my bagger at work because we were to slow or we didn't have the right thing. Most of the time I want to yell at them. But then Ephesians4:26 comes to mind and it says "In your anger do not sin, or let the sun go down while you are still angry." I think about this verse and I realize that no matter what, I need to just calm down and be kind.
